And so to those results. Congratulations to this year's winners, but especially to Louis Hamilton whose winning score was beyond outstanding. Louis has returned to golf after having had to give it up for many years due to a back problem. He has developed an excellent swing that gives him consistent results without putting too much strain on the body. Nevertheless, I am quite sure that this 13 handicapper would not have predicted a gross 68 (one over par) to give him 48 Stableford points.

Runner-up, Willie Cowie, could be forgiven for feeling a bit miffed that his 44 points still left him 4 points adrift of the winner, but I'm sure even he will applaud Louis' stunning score. In third, on 41 points, Chris Mackinnon will surely be wondering what more he needs to do to get higher up the prize list!

Keeping prizes in the family, Jill Mackinnon took the top spot for the ladies with a fine 37 points. Donalda Johnston and Sandra Dew were 2nd and 3rd ladies respectively. These three are among the most frequent competitors in our ladies' section, which only goes to show that practice pays off.

We hope everyone enjoyed their day, will spread the word, and will be back for more next year - or indeed for the Skye Open next month.
